Policy as of 15/9/2018, last modified 13/5/15
Estimote's policy mainly concerns its relationship with business affiliates and account holders. It does, however, refer to "Customer Data" collected from its services.
Personal data collected is treated by Estimote as "strictly confidential" and subject to internal controls and protections. This may include "latitude/longitude coordinates", the time of day, and user locations when their device is near a beacon.
If users do not want Estimote's beacon to identify their device, it directs them to "(a) delete the Customer app or adjust the in-app settings of the Customer app if the app makes that option available, or (b) turn “off” Bluetooth through [their] device’s Settings feature."
In the event of a data breach, Estimote will "take reasonable steps to investigate the situation and to notify our Customers if the security, integrity or confidentiality of personal information has been compromised, in accordance with any applicable laws and regulations."
